1756-A13 Allen-Bradley ControlLogix chassis
The 1756-A13 is an Allen-Bradley ControlLogix chassis. The chassis provides a module case with 13 module slots for installing the ControlLogix controller and I/O module. In addition to providing mounting slots, the case also houses the electronic circuits that make up the backplane. The backplane distributes the current that each module uses to motivate the circuits to work properly.
1756-A13 Only horizontal installation is supported. It requires a minimum cabinet size of 60.9 x 76.2 x 20.3 centimeters (24 x 30 x 8 inches). For installation, weighs 1.90 kg (4.2 lb). It is mounted directly to the case panel through mounting plates located at the top and bottom of the case. A chassis midplane provides high-speed communication paths between modules and distributes power to each module in the chassis. It requires either a Bulletin 1492 IFM or an RTB to connect all field side wiring. The 1756-A13 standard case has live removal and insertion (RIUP) function for easy maintenance. It also provides an electronic key to prevent replacement errors.
