The SST-PB3-CLX-RLL module is a chassis module used extensively in combination with Allen Bradley’s ControlLogix series.

The chassis module was designed and manufactured by Molex. For communication, the module comes with a PROFIBUS

D-sub master module block with 9 pins. The SST-PB3-CLX-RLL module weighs 430 g. The module is the Allen-Bradley 1756

backplane system and the PROFIBUS scanner for the Honeywell PlantScape system.

It helps enable communication links between CLX processors and remote I/O devices located on the PROFIBUS network.

Modules can be configured and programmed using the SST PROFIBUS configuration tool. This tool helps to configure I/O on

the network. Input and output data are mapped to the ControlLogix 5550 controller’s I/O data array. It also shows the connection

status and any failures that may occur during normal module operation.

There are three LED indicators below the LCD panel to display the communication, system, and normal status of the module.

COMM LED indicates the health status of the network, SYS LED indicates the health status of the PROFIBUS host, it also scans

all slave cells in running mode, OK LED indicates if the module initialization is complete and if the module is ready to run. The

SST-PB3-CLX-RLL module operates in a temperature range between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius.

SST-PB3-CLX-RLL is a Profibus scanner module compatible with the 1756 ControlLogix automation platform or Honeywell

PlantScape control system. The module was manufactured by Molex, a partner of Rockwell Automation.
