The3500/50M TachometerModuleisa2-channelmodulethatacceptsinputfromproximityprobesormagneticpickupstodetermineshaftrotativespeed,rotoracceleration,orrotordirection.Themodulecomparesthesemeasurementsagainstuser-programmablealarmsetpointsandgeneratesalarmswhenthesetpointsareviolated.TheTachometerModuleisprogrammedusingthe3500RackConfigurationsoftware.Thefollowingconfigurationoptionsareavailable:lSpeedMonitoring,SetpointAlarmingandSpeedBandAlarminglSpeedMonitoring,SetpointAlarmingandZeroSpeedNotificationlSpeedMonitoring,SetpointAlarmingandRotorAccelerationAlarminglSpeedMonitoring,SetpointAlarmingandReverseRotationNotificationThe3500/50MTachometerModulecanbeconfiguredtosupplyconditionedKeyphasorsignalstothebackplaneofthe3500rackforusebyothermonitors.Therefore,youdon’tneedaseparateKeyphasormoduleintherack.The3500/50MTachometerModulehasapeakholdfeaturethatstoresthehighestspeed,thehighestreversespeed,orthenumberofreverserotationsthatthemachinehasreached.Youcanresetthepeakvalues.
