Description

GE Fanuc IC670CHS102 I/O Terminal Block is a PLC backplane specially designed and manufactured by GE Fanuc for the IC670 field control series of I/O modules. Up to 2 individual I/O modules can be installed in each junction box by simply plugging them into an available compatible slot, which is easy because the modules come with a set of special keys that only allow them to be installed in the correct slot in the slot. The GE Fanuc IC670CHS102 I/O Terminal Board supports hot-swappable operation for quick troubleshooting because there is no need to disconnect power to connect or disconnect I/O modules. Once the I/O module is mounted on the base terminal block, it should be screwed in place to provide vibration resistance.

The GE Fanuc IC670CHS102 I/O Breakout Board is equipped with terminal block terminals and accepts external wiring from field inputs and outputs using 16 screw terminals. For data communication with the host Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), the GE Fanuc IC670CHS102 I/O Breakout Board requires a Bus Interface Unit (BIU) version 2.1 or higher. If the base terminal block is installed in a hazardous location, I/O modules should not be plugged in or removed while the power is on due to the risk of sparks which could result in accidents, personal injury, equipment damage or fire. The operating temperature of the I/O terminal board should be maintained between -25 to 70 degrees Celsius (-13 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit) to ensure proper operation of the device.
