Description

The IC697CPU789 is a single-slot expandable PLC designed to provide triple modular redundancy for sensitive IC66* applications Backplane connection to the rack allows the unit to use multiple I/O modules including the IC697 LAN interface module; co-processing controller, communication, and alphanumeric display modules; IC660 and IC661 bus controllers; I/O link interface modules; and IC697 discrete and analog modules. Note: IC697 modules are only supported in simplex mode. All device calculations are performed by a 16MHz 80386DX microprocessor. The computation time for each Boolean function is 0.4 microseconds. Supported inputs and outputs are as follows: Multiple combinations of up to 12K discrete I/O in simplex mode only, 2048 voting discrete I/O, 8K analog I/O in simplex mode only, and 1024 voting analog inputs .
