Description
Gas turbines began to become the prime mover group of industrial and mining enterprises and public
utilities in the late 1940s, and they were initially used for pipeline natural gas transmission and power grid peak
regulation. The early control system adopted the hydraulic mechanical turbine governor, supplemented by pneumatic
temperature control, fuel limit stabilization and manual program control. Other protection such as speeding, overtemperature,
fire, flameout, no lubricating oil and excessive vibration are achieved by independent devices.
With the rapid development of control technology, the gas turbine control system shows the hydraulic mechanical operation
mechanism represented by the fuel regulator, and the automatic relay program control used for automatic start and stop
control. Relay automatic program control, combined with simple alarm monitoring and SCADA(monitoring and data acquisition)
system interface, for continuous remote control operation. This is the prototype of the first gas turbine electronic control system
launched by GE in 1966. The system, which was indeed later named the SPEEDTRONIC MARK I control system, replaced the earlier fuel dispensers electronically.
