The MVME5500 is the latest flagship product in MOTOROLA’s VME line, achieving a higher level of performance in a single VMEbus slot. Powered by the latest MPC7455 processor, the MVME5500 runs at 1 GHz and above, making it ideal for data-intensive applications. The MVME5500 not only offers faster processor performance; It provides balanced performance from the processor, memory, local bus, and I/O subsystems. The powerful Marvell Discovery system controller supports a 133 MHz host bus and 133 MHz SDRAM memory bus, making it ideal for high-speed processors. To match system I/O with outstanding processor performance, the MVME5500 offers a dual 64-bit, 33/66 MHz PCI bus. Each PCI bus has a PMC site that supports cards running at 33 or 66 MHz.
