The MTLx549 accepts a 4/20mA floating signal from the safe zone controller to drive 2 current/pressure converters

(or any other load up to 800Ω) in the danger zone. For HART valve positioners, the module also allows two-way

transmission of digital communication signals. process
A controller with a read-back function can detect an open or short circuit in the field wiring: if these occur, the current

will enter the terminal and drop to a preset level. The MTL4549C and MTLx549Y are very similar except that they only

provide open circuit detection (i.e. no short circuit detection).

Common motion controller are :PLC(programmable logic controller), independent motion controller, motion control card, special motion controller and so on.

1) PLC

The main function of PLC is to carry on the logic control of switching quantity, and has the simple motion control (linear trajectory control),

arithmetic data processing and other functions, usually using the touch screen as the man-machine interface. In

order to expand its application field, the manufacturers provide customers with a variety of optional functional modules,

such as multi-axis motion control module, network communication module, analog signal and digital signal conversion module.

PLC has the advantages of reliable work, simple programming, but its motion control function is relatively simple, if the choice of

multi-axis motion control module, the price is higher.

2) Independent motion controller

Independent motion controller is equipped with display screen, keys and functional control instructions, and has a variety of

communication interfaces, the ability to control motor movement is stronger than PLC. It can complete linear interpolation, circular

interpolation, trajectory control and other functions, and the programming is simple. At present, foreign motion controllers have field bus control function.

3) PCI Bus motion control card

Due to the PC computing speed, large storage capacity, and the Windows operating system of software resources, VB, VC and

other software to write user programs, very powerful. A lot of automation equipment is inseparable from the PC, especially the

use of machine vision detection automation equipment, need to run AuoCAD and other large software equipment and need to

collect storage production data equipment, therefore, these devices based on the PC PCI bus motion control card and PC

together to form a motion controller. Among all motion controllers, motion control card has the strongest function, but its stability and reliability are poor.
