Woodward’s UG “universal” governors are mechanical hydraulic governors used to control diesel, gas or dual fuel engines or steam turbines. This proven design has been the industry standard for many years and is recognized worldwide, providing convenient service to most engine and governor stores.
The UG governor has its own independent fuel supply system and is driven by the appropriate UG drive for the engine or turbine. They can operate both synchronously and downwardly with a variety of optional functions for generators, pumps, Marine propulsion and other applications. UG governor’s maximum drive speed is 1500 to 1600 RPM.
