The device is suitable for group configuration of generator ground fault protection on the generator side. In order to
achieve 100% stator and rotor ground fault protection using REG216/316*4, injection unit REX010 and injection
transformer REX011 are required. This injection equipment can be used for all common equipment generator grounding
and excitation systems. In all states, protection is effective for machines that are stationary, started and worn out.
Ground fault protection is based on the injection of coded signals. The resulting offset voltage is used to calculate
the ground resistance (Rf). The filling signal is generated in the filling unit REX010 and acts on the generator through the
transformer unit REX011. Is coupling with the resistance of the protected unit (RE, RP). Two capacitors addition is required for rotor ground fault protection.
Ground fault protection is measured by REG216 or REG316 * 4 respectively. The described device is 100%
protected against generator stator windings. Two separate protection functions are employed: one for 95% and one
for 100% stator windings, using different algorithms. The 100% function is to calculate the ground resistance and the 95% function is to measure the neutral voltage generator displacement.
