RLM01 3BDZ000398R1 ABB Network interface module

The RLM01 module can be directly connected to a master station with a single or multiple slave stations. Multiple couplers with redundancy can be directly connected to the redundant PROFIBUS link via RLM01. If the station has only one interface, it can be connected to either link A or link B. Each RLM01 PROFIBUS interface can connect to up to 31 PROFIBUS stations.

Link redundancy:
The module intensifies the death signal form and amplitude of the received data, and monitors activity and errors on all three links. Errors can be indicated on the LED on the front panel, and specific information can be used for diagnosis on the terminal board of the 8 connector.

Hybrid redundant link:
Data that arrives first through link A or B (see figure above), using the correct start frame, is forwarded to the M header. If the data arrives at the same time, link A or link B is selected randomly. If an error is detected on link A, the control logic switches to link B to ensure availability. If link B fails, the program also switches to link A.

Separated non-redundant lines:

Data passing through link M at the correct start frame is also passed in parallel to links A and B. If the start frame is incorrect, the control logic does not output any data to A and B.

Linking redundant 24 V DC power supplies increases the availability of the RLM 01 itself. The monitoring logic checks whether both voltages are available and reports any possible failures.
