Eight LEDs on the front of the chassis give you at-a-glance system status so you know if the CPU, battery, and communication channels are working as expected. Product documentation reminds you what the LED colors and states mean, but CPUs follow a widely accepted convention: a blinking or red light indicates a system failure, while a solid green indicates normal operation. The dual backplane bus architecture supports the use of RX3i PCI and GE Fanuc Series 90-30 type serial buses. The CPU itself supports up to 512 program blocks, each with a maximum size of 128 KB. You can program it using Ladder Diagram, Structured Text, or Function Block Diagram programming languages. You can also program it in C language. The RX3i CPU is programmed and configured by programming software to perform real-time control of machines, processes and material handling systems.
